Our Story

A congregation gathered in a church or community hall, with many people standing and sitting, some with heads bowed or engaged in prayer, in a room with ceiling fans and stained glass windows.
A young man in a white suit with gold accents, yellow tie, and gold shoes standing with a woman in a white dress, pearl necklace, and earrings. They are indoors near a door with an exit sign above.

Our journey has been divinely ordered and far from ordinary. Through every season, we have remained steadfast in truth, anchored in our Kingdom values, and committed to building with purpose—creating space for work that is both Spirit-led and enduring.

Our History

The Establishment of the Vision

We believe that Word of Deliverance Christian Center was birthed through divine instruction and the leading of the Holy Ghost on June 17, 2008, under the leadership of Jeremiah J. Martin. What began as prayer gatherings and Tuesday night Bible Encounters in a humble home quickly became a place where the presence of God was tangibly experienced, igniting spiritual growth among those in attendance.

Zechariah 4:10 (KJV)
“For who hath despised the day of small things?...”

The Inaugural Service

We believe in obedience to divine direction. After much fasting and prayer, Apostle Martin was led to launch Sunday services. On September 7, 2008, the first official service was held, where a small but powerful group gathered in unity. The atmosphere of praise and worship was so strong that it stirred both heaven and attention on earth, confirming that God’s hand was upon the ministry.

Acts 2:46–47 (KJV)
“…continuing daily with one accord… praising God… And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”

Growth Through Transition

We believe that every transition was divinely orchestrated. From hotel spaces to chapels, each relocation strengthened the ministry and expanded its reach. Though locations changed, the mission remained the same—to preach, teach, and demonstrate the power of God.

1 Corinthians 3:7 (KJV)
“So then neither is he that planteth any thing… but God that giveth the increase.”

Prophetic Direction & Revival

We believe in the power of prophetic declaration. During a time of revival and prayer, a word from the Lord declared that a permanent home would be established. Through faith and obedience, the ministry continued to grow spiritually and numerically, trusting God’s timing and promise.

Amos 3:7 (KJV)
“Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.”

Establishing a House for Worship

We believe that God provides vision and provision. Through spiritual insight and obedience, a place was secured and transformed into a house of worship. Even through trials, including devastating loss, the hand of God remained faithful—guiding every transition, sustaining the ministry, and positioning the church for continued impact.

Romans 8:28 (KJV)
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God…”

Resilience, Realignment & Divine Purpose

We believe that even in unexpected seasons, God’s plan prevails. Through moments of redirection and global challenges, the ministry remained steadfast. What seemed like disruption was divine preparation—allowing the church to continue serving, ministering, and reaching people during critical times.

Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord…”

A Place to Call Home & Community Impact

We believe that God establishes His people in purpose. Today, Word of Deliverance Christian Center stands in a place of stability and impact—serving both the Kingdom and the community through outreach, giving, and love in action.

Psalm 92:13 (KJV)
“Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.”

Our Testimony

From humble beginnings to a thriving ministry, Word of Deliverance Christian Center is a living testimony of God’s faithfulness. Through prayer, fasting, obedience, and unwavering faith, the Lord has continually added to the church and strengthened His people.

Psalm 126:3 (KJV)
“The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.”

Closing Declaration

We honor the journey, we celebrate the growth, and we remain committed to the call.

What We Believe

The One True God

We believe that there is one true and living God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—co-equal in power, authority, and glory.

1 John 5:7 (KJV)
“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

The Blessed Hope

We believe in the blessed hope—the glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ and the catching away (rapture) of the Church.

1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 (KJV)
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout… then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds…”

Salvation Through Jesus Christ

We believe that the only means of cleansing from sin is through true repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ.

Acts 3:19 (KJV)
“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out…”

Regeneration by the Holy Ghost

We believe that salvation is made complete through regeneration by the Holy Spirit, which is essential for new life in Christ.

Titus 3:5 (KJV)
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.”

Divine Healing

We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing for the body, made available through faith and believing prayer.

Isaiah 53:5 (KJV)
“…and with his stripes we are healed.”

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, given to believers who earnestly seek and ask for it.

Acts 2:4 (KJV)
“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues…”

Sanctification & Holy Living

We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, enabling believers to live a holy, separated, and consecrated life in this present world.

2 Corinthians 6:17 (KJV)
“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord…”

Closing Declaration

At Word of Deliverance Christian Center, we stand firmly on the Word of God—believing, living, and proclaiming His truth with power.
